01Documents
Use your passport-specific checklist
Confirm current entry requirements with the Brazilian consulate responsible for your nationality or place of application. Keep the accommodation address, onward plans and required documents accessible. US or Canadian residence does not determine the entry rules for a passport from another country.
02Clock
Read the local date and time
Check the landing date as well as the hour. Overnight travel, an itinerary change and Brazil's different time zones can shift the day you need a room or pickup. Share the flight number and local arrival date with the property and transfer provider.
03Cash and card
Have a way to pay for the transfer
Confirm whether the chosen transport accepts your card or requires another method. Keep a modest reserve of reais, and know how you will contact your card issuer if a payment is declined. A foreign banking app should not be assumed to support Pix.
04Connection
Keep essentials in your cabin bag
Carry documents, essential medication, a change of clothes and a charger where you can reach them. Follow the airline's battery and cabin-baggage rules. If a checked bag travels separately from you, these essentials make an unexpected first night much easier.
05Access
Request the actual assistance you need
Ask the airline and transfer provider about wheelchair assistance, boarding steps, mobility equipment, child restraints and luggage handling before departure. Explain the complete connection, including an airport change or the walk between vehicle and accommodation.
06Contact
Agree on a missed-meeting plan
Save the accommodation and driver contacts offline. Know who to call if the driver is not at the meeting point, your arrival is delayed or you cannot connect to data. Use the agreed channel rather than following an unsolicited offer from someone who approaches you.
