How cookies, browser storage and hosting security relate to your visit to Brazil Pronto.

Updated September 11, 2026

What cookies do

A cookie is a small piece of information that a website asks a browser to keep and return with later requests. Cookies can support a website function, remember a choice or help a service recognize a browser. Their purpose and duration depend on how they are configured.

Websites can also use other forms of browser storage. A technical identifier does not need to contain a person’s name to be relevant to privacy.

The current Brazil Pronto website

The current publication does not use advertising pixels, third-party visitor analytics tags or reader accounts. Its own page features do not set advertising or analytics cookies.

The navigation and responsive photographs work without saving a reader profile in local storage or session storage. Fonts and published photographs are served as part of the website, rather than through embedded pages from a photography provider.

This does not make a visit anonymous to the hosting service. Your browser still sends technical requests when loading pages and their resources.

Hosting and security

Hosting and security services operate alongside the publication’s page features. They may use cookies or similar tokens to assess requests, protect the service and distinguish normal browsing from automated misuse.

A security check can behave differently from an ordinary page visit. Blocking or removing its stored data may cause a check to appear again or prevent access until the request can be verified.

Security technologies and operational request logs are different from optional advertising or visitor-profiling features. Information about technical records is described in the Privacy notice.

Managing stored data

Most browsers provide settings for viewing, removing or restricting cookies and other site data. The names and locations of these controls vary by browser and device. Your browser’s own help is the appropriate source for instructions for the version you use.

Deleting stored site data removes the selected information from that browser. It does not erase records already held by a website’s hosting service or affect a different browser or device.

  • Inspect the site data associated with Brazil Pronto in your browser settings.
  • Remove stored data when you no longer want it kept on that device.
  • Review restrictions carefully if the website repeatedly asks you to complete a security check.

When you follow a link

An external link takes you to a separate website, which may set its own cookies or offer a privacy choice. Brazil Pronto does not control another operator’s browser technologies.

Review that website’s notice before accepting optional cookies or entering personal information. A choice made on one website does not necessarily apply to another.

If the website changes

Adding analytics, advertising, embedded services or account features would change the way browser technologies are used. This notice and any relevant controls will be reviewed before such features are introduced.

The date at the top of this page identifies the latest update. The Privacy notice describes the wider information involved in a visit, and the Terms explain use of the publication.
